Version of 3 November 2026.
This page explains the terms under which the website therisedz.com, the The Rise DayZ game servers and the store in your account work. Please read it before your first purchase.
1. Who is who
- Seller – a self-employed person (professional income tax payer) who runs the The Rise project. Their details are given at the end of this agreement and in the payment receipt.
- Player – a legally capable person who signed in to the site with Steam or paid for a purchase in the store.
- Service – the website therisedz.com, the The Rise game servers, the account with the store, the wiki and the project's Discord bot.
- Account – the player's profile in the service, tied to their SteamID.
- Balance – the store's record of how much the player has paid in for purchases. It is shown in rubles but is not money.
2. What the project offers
Playing on the The Rise servers is free. The store offers paid extra features – digital services: premium for a term, priority queue for a term, cosmetic weapon skins and in-game item kits. The contents, term and price of each are given in its store description.
A purchase gives the right to use the chosen feature within the service. It does not transfer ownership of software, servers, or in-game and virtual objects to the player.
The Rise is an independent project. It is not affiliated with Bohemia Interactive or Valve and is not liable for their decisions and failures. DayZ is a trademark of Bohemia Interactive a.s.; the terms of use of DayZ and Steam are set by their right holders.
3. How the contract is made
This agreement is the Seller's public offer (Article 437 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). A contract for a paid service is made at the moment of payment – paying means accepting all terms of this agreement (Article 438 of the Civil Code). For free features, the agreement applies from the moment you sign in.
Before paying, the player reads the description and price of the service, this agreement, the Privacy policy and the Project rules. By paying, the player asks for the service to start as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Purchases are for people aged 18 and over. A player under 18 uses the store only with the consent of their parents or legal guardians and confirms that such consent exists.
4. Account and security
Purchases are tied to the player's SteamID and, where the description says so, to the server chosen at purchase. The player checks the account, server and service before paying: a mistake in choosing is not a defect of the service. The player is responsible for the security of their Steam account and for actions taken through it.
To prevent fraud, the Seller may ask the player to confirm account ownership or payment details and hold delivery until the check is complete.
5. Balance and payment
Prices are shown in the store in rubles. The balance is topped up through third-party payment services – by bank card, SBP or another method they offer. The player enters card details on the payment service's page; the Seller never sees or stores them. One top-up is from 10 to 100 000 ₽. Money counts as paid once the payment service confirms the payment. Price changes do not affect what has already been paid for.
The balance is an internal accounting unit of the store, not electronic money: it earns no interest and cannot be withdrawn, sold, exchanged for money or transferred to other players, unless the law expressly requires otherwise. It can only be spent on store services.
6. When a purchase is complete
A service starts right after the payment is confirmed, unless its description states another term. It is considered complete and accepted by the player:
- balance top-up – when the amount is credited to the balance;
- premium and priority queue – when switched on; the term starts at purchase or extends the current one;
- skin – when unlocked for the account on the chosen server;
- item kit – when the items are placed in the character's reward storage on the chosen server.
If a purchase could not be delivered for a technical reason, its price is returned to the balance automatically.
Records of the service, the payment service and the game servers prove completion until the player proves otherwise. Report a missing purchase within 7 days of payment – after that it is considered properly delivered.
7. Gameplay, wipes and updates
DayZ is a multiplayer survival game. Items and progress can be lost through character death, a raid, a wipe, game or mod updates and changes to game balance. Such a loss after delivery does not mean the service was not provided.
The Seller may change game mechanics and characteristics, replace objects with similar ones and carry out maintenance when needed for security, compatibility and balance. Premium and priority queue terms survive wipes. If the server a purchase was made for closes, the Seller moves it to another project server or returns its price to the balance.
8. Conduct rules and sanctions
The Project rules are part of this agreement. For violations the Seller may warn the player, remove their in-game objects, restrict features or close access to the servers temporarily or permanently. A ban for a violation does not make a provided service defective and does not in itself give a right to a refund.
In particular, it is forbidden to:
- use bugs, cheats and automation, disrupt the service or bypass restrictions;
- sell in-game items, accounts or project services for real money outside the store;
- pay with someone else's money or dispute payments with the bank without legal grounds. In that case the Seller may cancel what was delivered for such a payment, deduct its price from the balance and close access to the service.
9. Refunds
The player may cancel the part of a service not yet provided under Article 782 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and Article 32 of the Russian Consumer Rights Protection Law, paying for the part already provided and the Seller's actual expenses.
A credited balance and delivered services count as provided (section 6), so money for them is not refunded just because the player changed their mind. A refund is possible on legal grounds: the service was verifiably not provided or has a material defect the Seller is responsible for.
Money is not refunded if:
- the player chose the wrong server, account or service;
- the service did not match the player's personal expectations;
- the player stopped playing;
- items or progress were lost in play, a raid or a wipe;
- access was closed for violating the Project rules;
- failures of Steam, DayZ, the internet provider or the player's device got in the way.
If the The Rise project closes completely, the unused balance is refunded on request.
Send refund requests to to be specified: your SteamID, the invoice or order number from your account, the date and amount of the payment, the service, what happened, and any evidence. We reply within 10 business days. Where a refund is due, the money goes back by the original payment method within the time limits set by law.
10. Liability
The service is provided «as is» to the extent the law allows. The Seller works to keep the servers stable but does not guarantee the absence of errors and interruptions, constant availability of a particular server, preservation of game progress or that a service matches the player's personal expectations.
The Seller is not liable for interruptions caused by the player or third parties, Steam and DayZ bans and failures, failures of providers, communications, equipment and payment services, DDoS attacks and game updates. Neither party is liable for non-performance caused by force majeure – natural disasters, military action, decisions of authorities, major accidents; deadlines shift for the duration of such circumstances. This agreement does not limit liability that the law forbids limiting.
11. Project materials
The site, mods and other The Rise materials are for personal non-commercial play. Without the Seller's permission you may not copy or resell them, scrape the site, reverse-engineer the mods or use the The Rise name and marks. Rights to DayZ, Steam and other third-party products belong to their owners.
12. Questions and disputes
Send questions and claims to to be specified. In a claim, state who you are (SteamID), which order it concerns and what you request – we reply within 10 business days. The parties try to reach agreement before going to court. Disputes are resolved under the law of the Russian Federation, observing mandatory rules on jurisdiction and consumer protection.
13. Changes and validity
The current version is always published on this page. A new version applies to purchases and actions after its publication and does not worsen the terms of services already paid for. The player may stop using the service at any time – this does not undo what has already been completed or the consequences of violations.
If any provision is found invalid, the rest remain in force. The Privacy policy, the «Payment and delivery» page, the service descriptions in the store and the Project rules apply together with this agreement. Mandatory rules of the law of the Russian Federation prevail over the terms of this agreement.
